So I continually hear about how mundane things have become on Shadow Siege. No plots and what not being run, so I decided I'd help to take such things in hand, do a few echoes, give a fun, new thing for people to rp about and what happens? People largely ignore the echoes and things and continue with whatever they were doing as though it is an inconvience to inturupt their planned rp. All and all it's extremely disapointing to me that I take my time, effort, and patience to create new topics for people to rp about and 2/3 of the people in the room don't even bother to react.

Seems like things have been a bit slow lately on the mud, which makes me frown a bit, though I hope the recent lack of activity is due to the whole server issue (damn those texans) that we had and not because people are trying to go cold turkey from SS. Of course the staff hasn't been laying around even if some of the players have. We now have a new Reeve, which is nice since he's active and mixing things up a bit, finally getting some laws enforced that don't seem to have really been enforced in a while.

I'm thinking that it may in fact be time to plan an outing into the demon filled northern farm lands as they're supposed to be the breadbasket of Telantha and yet they're filled with spawning demons, though I've got to consider it further as I would prefer to have at least a few characters of the mud left alive after it. Perhaps a plot swirling around it since whatever plot was swirling around it seems to have fizzled out. Oh the possibilities!

Anyway, as always, be on the look out for some fun stuff in the future.

I'm sure you've all noticed, but we've got a new Siegian. Hopefully said person will stick around. I know that there's a tendency for active players to become less active when they become Siegians. At any rate, all is looking up. I've been pondering a ceremony for one of my characters actually. Thinking of having him name his swords for his god an idea which I 'borrowed' from a book I was reading a while ago. Still, it has potential. Hopefully the gods will be happy with the idea if nothing else.

Yeah, I think the title says it all, wow, just wow. Can't believe we actually had to remove a siegian. Makes me like this: sad.gif

At any rate, I've also been a bit surprised with the reactions from some of the player base of late regarding things that have been happening. Impolite demands, trying to go around one staff member who has already made something clear, and all sorts of other minor things. It all just kind of makes you look back in amazement at these people who do such things. I mean, SS is an awsome game, and I've been a part of it in one way or another for a long time, and yet we still have people who act as though they have some god given right to make demands, as though it's unjust that something has went in without their knowledge.

Ah, well, I suppose the moral of the story is that you catch more flies with honey than you do with vinager, thus I advise people to be calm and patient with all things on the mud, not just interactions with staff, but with players as well.

[On a side note, though I can't imagine I actually need to post such a thing, the views here are my own and do not always reflect the views of the other staff members.]

So Mina found had some link to a purity test of some sort which I of course had to take (by the way you can find it here, don't worry, I'll wait while you take it as well). I managed a respectable score of 70.4% pure, which somehow ranks very high for the mud.

No doubt you're wondering what others got, so I'll list two of them (which may or may not be surprising):

Knyghtthyme: 23.6%
Quonar (or whatever his name is for the minute): 90.8%

On other fronts we've been playing a bit with a fun plot and it's now well on it's way, or should be by the time I finally click the post button. So have fun, rp a whole bunch, and stop worry about us making sex a skill.

Well, as I really don't do anything around here I'm not so sure what I'll actually post in this thing, but I suppose time will tell. Didn't want it going to waste when I can make one though so here it is.

So.... what to fill up all this space with....

I've got nothing.

Okay, I've thought of something now: We've started a plot. It shall be great, it shall be good, and we shall all have fun.

Anyway, I've typed enough for now. Maybe next time I'll be in a mood to actually type something worthwhile.
